04 dmax lb7 ext cab s.b.
PPE hot excelerator 330 h.p. at fly wheel
4" mbrp down pipe back
17" good year wrangler mtr's.
PPE air intake.
PPE boost valve
PPE/ATS stage 4 tranny.
Will be trying the EDge w/ monitor this weekend.
I will be running against some hard running cummins and Dmax's using fuel additives.
HOw should i have the two programers stacked for most power also is there anything else I shoulddo to set the truck up.
Tow/haul on or off??
Overdrive off or not?
4 hi or 4 lo???
Any input would be greatly aprreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Do some road testing with your PPE hot excelerator and Juice stacked to find a combination that will not burst.

should I keep running it all the way up on the edge until it bursts then back it down one setting?

No, I would leave in on whatever setting it will not burst on. Your not gonna have time to worry about adjusting the edge.

Once the torsion bar isnt being pushed up by the bolt anymore, that is all the way down, the bolt should get easy to turn, then tighten it back up some.

what gear should i be running?????
also i just got the tranny completed on wed. is it to soon to pull it?
I used a tec-2 to reset the tranny. It still seems to shift real hard and weird yet though?

Drive it on kill as much as possible before the pull. You want it completely learned. Right before the pull drive it as hard as you can from a stop a few times. This will help it click off the shifts when you go WOT.

not to bad first time pulling got 4th out of 22 trucks but was 30 ft. away from first though..... 2-3 was only 1.5 ft between us. I ran 3 tow/haul over drive off and 4 lo. the guy that got first was running a very similar setup but ran 4 hi his momentum got him that far I had plenty of power just didnt have the speed. Did i run the wrong gear and should i have been in 4 hi????? Also i still didnt have much front wheel pressure 50lbs in the rear 15 in the front torssions all the way out???
Thanks for all the help guys it is very much appreciated+++++++

I usually run about 30 in the front. How was the track?

He has the same issue I have I'll bet. 4lo and 3rd will not pull hard enough on the motor that's making good power like that. I think we need to let 'er go to 4th. If you check what boost you are getting I'll bet it isn't more that 21 or 22 psi. You will get a lot of smoke and turn around 3000-3200 rpm and NOT get enough ground speed. WE have fought this lately since we are building 495RWHP now. If anyone could enlighten us on why you can't build more boost in 3rd I would be very interested. At boost below 30psi you are way down on power!! Generally the lower gears on these Duramax's you can't pull down on them to get the full power out of the motor----once you have a stout motor. It would be nice to be able to "skip" a gear or two when racing!!!!

the track was real hard at the begging and soft at the end. I am thinkin that the rpms where right around 3,200-3,500 rpm's not sure what the boost was reading.
I snuffed it hard at the end of the pull. As soon as i hit the 290 ft it started to really lug down and then she spun out and as soon as i let off she snuffed and stalled out.... not sure what happened??
Half way down the track i kicked it into Drive w/ towhaul and over drive off 4 lo then she started to lug down the the tranny wouldnt kick down so i shifted it down into 3rd. Not sure if that was the best thing to do or not......
