Wondering if anybody runs a tuner with biodiesel in the tank. I run B99 in my truck and was wondering if it would take the extra fuel?

Bio is diesel fuel just like the petro stuff. You may choose to run 99% (not sure why someone would even bother to blend this way) but my suggestion would be to stick with B20 max. I don't want to get into a debate/discussion of bio, just don't recommend running excessive concentrations.

The reason B99 is sold that way is b/c the petroleum companies and blenders get a penny per gallon tax break under the "alternative fuel tax credit" and if they blend the B99 then they can sell it cheaper to the consumer. However it does have to be a "blend". That is why you see B100 for $3.60 and up and I am paying $2.75 for B99 while #2 is $3.00 where I live. If you have any reason for not running higher concentrations then I would love to hear them. But at that point we are way off topic and would have to move this thread to Alternative Bio section.

I run B-20 and #2 with stacked programming and can't tell the difference in performance from either fuel.

Have you noticed any difference in EGT temps? Does it take longer for the truck to warm up?

Rich.

I just installed tuner yesterday and I am running B99....It runs and feels great and I got a little power back from running the bio. I'm going to run a tank of #2 to see the difference and my gauges arrive from brown today so I will see about temps. Never have a problem getting things warm as I live in AZ!:)
