I'm installing a tranny gauge on a ZF 6 speed where can I put the probe :confused: Any help would be great Turbo6600

I have one on mine.

Drain the tranny oil. Remove the driver's side PTO plate. Drill a hole for the sensor. Make sure it is snug and get a good gasket that can hold to the heat of ~215* for long hauls. The hole you drill must be below the oil input plug, i.e. towards the bottom of the PTO plate. Make sure that where you drill the hole will not put the sensor near a gear once the PTO plate is re-attached. When you attach the wire to the sensor I suggest finding some way to put some protection around the connector so it does not get broken. If the wire connector breaks off the end of the sensor then you will have to replace the sensor, PITA. Good luck.
