This shifting may be normal when cold unless you are running synthtics. I am running synthetics & I still notice hard or slow shifting here when is was -42'F a couple days ago. Afterdriving for awhile things warm up & run more smooth.

Yes i do run the joy stick controler.that is one of the main reasons i went with the boss v-plow.I really don't understand what synthetic oil has to do with how my transmission shift lever operates in the cold! thanks any way though! I asume you just read it wrong.

Sorry, I misunderstood. Your post stated your transmission was shifting hard. I did not realize you were talking about the transmission shifter.
I think there were some past posts on the shifter being hard to move out of park. Maybe do a search on this forum. I know that mine is an automatic & is very hard to shift out sometimes. Almost to the point that I feel as though I may break something with the force I am using.

Well I took the rubber boot off down by were the trans cable hooks up and it was full of water? so apparently it is freezing in the cold weather.I drained and added some anti-sieze but is still doing it not as bad though hopfully the water will evaporate of the summer
