I am getting interested in installing a lift in my garage .
Considering a 9000# two post total height and width 145", will lift 78"
Manufacturer is Bend Pak.
Anyone have any experience with lifts or suggestions?
Thanks

PM DMaxalliTech. I don't know the make of them, but he has two lifts in his shop, and both can handle duallys. About 6 foot of clearance underneath when fully raised. I think they ran about $2500-3000 a piece.

I have a snap-on. It is rated 9000lbs and I haven't found a light duty truck it wouldn't lift yet. Crew cab dually long box no problem. I don't really have any recommendations other then to make sure you get all the adapters etc.

Get a clear floor lift. I have a floor plate lift, and it is difficult to do trans or t-case work since you cannot use a trans jack. I bought mine used so beggars can't be choosers! If it ever needs expensive repairs, I will get a new assymetric 2 post clear floor lift. Mine is at lest 30 years old new, and is by far the best accessory in the shop!

I have a Rotary 9000 lb lift in my garage. I have had it for almost 6 years and no problems and it gets plenty of use for not being in a commercial repair shop. It is the open floor type. It handles my 7500 lb dually with ease. The only problem is the overhead, It touches the front of the cab w/ the shut off switch about 3 inches before the lift is all the way up. If you are over 6 ft tall that may be a problem for you. Cost was $3000.00 signed, sealed, delivered and set up. Just make sure you have a good concrete base. I had 7 inches of 4000 lb test concrete w/ rebar crosshatched every 12 inches poured in that bay and not a crack anywhere.
Best money I ever spent on a tool.

I have a Forward two post lift I think its 9k. I haven't had my crew cab dually on it yet but I don't think it would be a problem. I bought mine second hand think I paid $1500.00 for it. I agree with Big Max the best money I have spent on a tool.

I have the Bend Pak 10,000 lb lift and love it. Very easy to put together. Did it myself with the help of another strong back to lift upright the columns. Great lift, very strong, and price is right. Do it.

I've got one each of the aboves, use them everyday in a commercial setting. NO problems at all. I have used and do like the Rotary's, but I have two hoists for less then the cost of one symetrical 12k Rotary.

The hardest part I had was getting the big columns setup. Mine were a little on the heavy side and of course my engine lift did not go up high enough. This was inside the bard so I couldn't use the front end loader or anything. We ended up using the engine lift to lift as far as it could then man handeled to get upright. Once everything was bolted together and bolted to the floor it was just a matter of running a bit of wire.
