Wow, fast shipment and a discount, thanks Nicktane!:D

After much research I decided stock fuel filters just aren't justice. The last time I bought a WIX filter at napa it cost me $80, now there down to $50 (how the hells that happen) :mad:

First the great news, us medium duty owners don't have to take the filter plate off to remove the check ball. I was able to do this by removing the fender liner and get up nice and cozy to the engine.

But then, Oh crap it won't fit! :( But after finessing the transmission dipstick tube a little, I gained just enough room to install the 1R-0750 and nicktane adapter.

I think I'll install a water separator on the frame rail. I've read numerous opinions that the factory water separator/filter was inadequate at water anyway. I've been looking at the style with a clear bowl, so it'll be easy to check.

with the filter on the head their are only a few holes open and they are only open about 75%, will this pass enough fuel ?? or do I need to machine a larger slot because it looks like it will not flow any fuel what so ever

do you realize that the filter adapter dos not contact the metal top place of the filter? there is no need to line up any holes, etc.

if you install the nictane correctly it will improve fuel flow to the engine. measured mine with a pressure gauge and picked up just over 1 psi with the nicktane.
