Max Power 09-15-2005, 03:57 PM I still prefer the Bridgestone Revo. Check out the reviews at www.tirerack.com
JMGAZ 09-15-2005, 11:28 PM Im running the Goodyears on both my Yukon (265E) and on the HD (285).
I got a $50 rebate on the set for the Yukon which put them at $155ea., and the sales guy at Discount hooked me up on the 285's since I just bought the other pair, got them for $151ea.
I can't say enough about them!
LTChip 09-16-2005, 12:33 AM Got my 285 Wrangler SAs at Discount too. Have not run them yet though. Going to be putting them on some 16x8 wheels.
ajarthur 09-16-2005, 12:52 AM I also ran Bridgestone Duelers for years- they are great tires! But now I have decided to try the BFG KO's and so far I really like them. Only that these tires really throw rocks!

michael nelson 09-16-2005, 01:02 AM I quess most tires are good until they have a problem and leave you stranded,on that note the two most important things on a vehicle are the brakes and the tires!
cdhd2001 09-16-2005, 12:44 PM I am really impressed with the ride quality, wet traction, and silent running of my Michelin XC LT4 tires.

Just curious if this is an E load range tire? A while back, I remeber you buying Generals, how did they do?

The best "all-around" tire depends on where you are and how you use your truck. I've tried all kinds of stuff - some good and some not so good - and this time around went with the Silent Armor. Partly because of the tire guys' say so....they'd had a test day at the racecourse and said Wranglers felt glued to the track, way better than anything else. That's what they said, so I decided why not? Maybe it was all hype...maybe they make more off Goodyear...maybe they get a Goodyear bonus, maybe, maybe. It's only been a couple months but so far I'm real pleased. They've been very good offroad, nothing heavy-duty but just plonking. They also ride beautifully and are quiet and supposedly a 50K mile tire. And...they're rated to be excellent in snow, which is real important 5 months of the year in this area. In No. Carolina you have a different set of requirements, but that's what makes an "all-around" tire for me. We'll see what happens this winter.
Duromax04 09-18-2005, 12:43 AM I really like the Michelin LTX A/T. They wear very welll and ride pretty good. The last set I had ran 61,000 miles and had 1/2 tread left. It was mostly highway with some gravel, but it was fast speed and hard on the gas. Very pleased with the Michelin LTX M+S. Very quite ride and good wear. Not much in mud. Really good in rain and snow.
Scotty Seelen 09-19-2005, 04:43 PM Ditto on the Michelin LTX AT's. I have 44000 miles on these tires and there is half tread left. Absolutely the longest lasting tire I've owned.
SixLiterHD 09-21-2005, 12:03 AM I really like my Revo's Great tire. I had the Radial Rover AT before and it was a good tire as well. I do like the Revo better though.
PaulRahoi 09-21-2005, 11:22 AM Ditto on Michelin LTX M/S. I'm running 265's and very pleased so far... Towing 21000 lbs GCW.
Drinkin40's 09-21-2005, 11:47 AM Like the Toyo Open Country's in 265 - nice all-around tire - I have had the BFG's run out quick if not rotated religiously. Your foot also plays a part in the wearing =)
DMAX/Hemi 09-21-2005, 03:40 PM I just called to order a set of the LTX M/S in 265/75/16 Load Range E. $769.15 for the four of them, out the door, mounted and balanced. Does this sound like a good price?
Thanks,
Mark
