40-50,000 mile mud tire? on our heavy trucks? I doubt there is one. I'm pretty sure the longest you'll get a mud tire to last on these trucks is 30,000 (if that). Someone will prolly chime in if I'm wrong.

Check out my signature. I have about 18000 miles on mine and they are wearing very well. I just try to rotate them every 5000 miles.

Some of you might not believe this but I have had 6 sets of Bridgestone Dueler M\T tires in a 285 and have gotten at least 65-70,000 out of them. I have run them on a heavy truck too. Oh by the way you have to get the D load Range tire. I ran 2 sets on a 96 6.5 turbo Sub k2500 and got around 65,000 on the first set and had at least 50,000 on the second set and he is still running them. I have even replaced the tires at 70,000 and sold them to locals for $100, thats how much tread is left. Hope this help. Thanks and God Bless.

Toyo tires and the Firestones are getting good reviews around here in N.C. , but I still like the BFG/ MT. They DO have some side wall problems if you get into sharp rocks, and the best I have seen guys get out of them is 30K . I quit running MT because I could'nt get the mileage out of them on the street, and thats where the truck lives 85% of the time.

look around for some Mud King tires. they are almost a carbon copy of BFG Mud Terrain TA's. I think they are some sort of off brand of BFG but a good bit cheaper.
