Well seems I got bit by that PMD bug again. I know I know I should have upgraded to Heath's remote mount by now. However, I am going to try the special warranty clause at the dealership to see if they will replace my IP. I am still within the 11 years and am currently at 76,000 miles. So hopefully I can get a new IP. I did call my service manager and he said they don't replace just the PMD they replace the whole IP. So my question is will they cover the tow? I have AAA (who did a great job last night) and will probably use them again to take from my house to the dealer. But if the warranty will cover the tow also I would rather not use up another tow on my AAA card. What do you guys think?

If its the PMD you never know, you may just be able to start it up and drive it there.

See if you can get your hands on the core IP. You may need it again someday. From reports from dealerships, the only diagnosis they do is put on an IP - dead or alive. It would be interesting to see if it had any codes or not.

I haven't thought about getting the core IP I would have thought they would have to send it back to be rebuilt or something but I will check. I am not having too good luck getting them to to tow it from the house to them. It did crank up again last night I pulled it around to the front of the barn. It seems to be running alright now. But it sure wouldn't crank wednesday night. The worse part is I was planning on leaving next week on a trip across country to Vegas with the 5th wheel. I was already dreading that fuel bill now it looks like I won't have the truck back in time. So guess the trip is going to get postponed for a bit. I will keep you posted
