Hi I'm new to the forum, I have some questions about mustang dynos. I had my lbz on a dyno the year before last and dynoed 502hp at rkl diesel in springville ut, this morning I dynoed my truck at college on there new mustang dyno and only got 403hp with 689tq:confused: Truck has built tranny, 4" straight, afe cold air, pcv reroute, egr blocked, 15% over injectors, raptor 150, and a ppe hot tuner. I made two runs and both were on stage 5. I sure hope the numbers are wrong! Could someone explain what's going on?

Ive had the same issue, mustang dynos are usually 100hp off, but it all depends on how much the dyno is loaded, tire position on the rollers. my truck made 402hp on a mustang dyno and 520hp on a dynojet.

some difference could be winterized fuel which has less energy

moved to other performance

From having a couple of muscle cars myself, I know that Mustang dynos' will read lower than dynojets. It's just a number. Dynometers are used for tuning and also seeing a difference before and after adding parts.

I knew there would be a difference between #1 and #2 but knew it shouldn't be more than maybe 20hp. What about tq numbers? Also, the dyno is brand new, there for they didn't know how to operate it. . . In my personal opinion.
