This is the second time my truck has thrown this code in the past 2 days. I reset it with my PPE and went on my way. The first time it did it was with the 90hp PPE tune loaded. My truck was completely stock today (no tunes), as I took it to the dealer to get the "surge Fixed" update for the PCM. Yet still tonight for no reason, it threw another P0089. Its a code for the fuel rail pressure regulator IIRC. Does this mean my rail pressure regulator is on its last legs? I only have 9000 miles on the truck and just put on a brand spankin' new fuel filter today.

when i installed my lift pump coincidently my regulator went at the same time. changed it out and no more problems.

What happends when the regulator completely buys the farm? Does the truck still run? Am I OK for now until I can get it replaced? One of the guys on here said he had a "updated" relief valve that reduced the tendancy of P1093's; the stupid achillies heal of the LLY.

The Fuel Pressure Regulator and the Fuel Pressure Relief Valve are two different things IIRC. The FPRV is the one you shim to stop the P1093's.
