Hello everybody. First of all I have to say this is great forum, lots of info. I´m from Finland north europe, so my spelling may be little off, so try to bear whit me. I just few moths a go bought 95´ chevy c/k 2500 4x4 6.5l TD, my first diesel truck. It has extended cab, long bed and 3" lift (I try to get picture of it later). It is great truck, I like it, but it seems to have those typical problems I´ve been reading about here. See, couple of days a go it died on me on the road, it just stopped like someone turned the key off. So I pull over and try to restart. It starts up like nothing wrong, but it died again about 30 second´s.It did this couple of times, so I decided to tow it home. At home I started to investigate what the problem is, based on what I´ve learned here. The lift pump pumps, so i checked the diagnostic codes whit paper clip. It showed code 35 injection pulse widht error (the ses light blinked three times then five times and repeated this, right?). So I think the infamous PMD died. But I tryed to start it anyway, it worked. I let it run for a minute or so, it does not die. I drive a little ring around the block, it works. I´m worried it will die on me somewhere not so close to home. So I ordered a new PMD box, but I was wondering could it be something else?

Yes, you read the code correctly. It might be the PMD, and that is a good place to start once you go thru the checklist Here (http://dieselplace.com/forum/showthread.php?t=42248). Make sure your batteries and grounds are good. If you still have the 35 after new PMD/FSD I am lead to believe you need to start thinking about a new pump.

Also, while I'm at it, take a minute to update your signature from the user CP (upper left corner of any page).
