: All Terrain pckge, no cooled seats??

I'm looking at a 2012 1500 Sierra, and love the All Terrain package, since it deletes the nasty ass wood grain on the interior, and adds nice door sill plates, wheel house liner, carpeted matching mats, ranchero shocks, etc.

BUT, for whatever reason, adding that package deletes COOLED seats, and as far as I know, only comes with heated seats....GRRRRR. I don't need heated seats in S.E. La, but definitely would love the cooled seats. I hate to give up the entire package for one option, but it's a very important option for the south. I even called a dealer to get prices on replacing the seats with Heated/Cooled seats, but haven't heard back from him, but expect it to be quite costly, sinec they'd have to replace the door panels (controls) too.

Any advice? Anyone know of someone switching the seats, or being able to add the heated/cooled seats to the All Terrain? I spoke with a GMC rep though a chat window who siad it was impossible, but we all know not every rep knows everything.

Thanks for any advice!

Buy a "normal" Sierra (with cooled seats), and then get the "all terrain" cosmetic bits.

Much much MUCH cheaper than adding cooled seats to a factory "all terrain" truck. The GM rep is an idiot, just like every other person who is "official" with GM. Of course you can add cooled seats. But the cost of parts would be absurd.

Agreed. the terrain trim parts and sill plates are the way to go.

I added the Terrain cup holder (brushed metal finish with the door over cups and storage) and it was around $200.

Sounds like the way to go. Thanks for the replies. Can I order the terrain trim parts from GM?

Yep all the all terrain parts can be ordered from any dealership or found on some auction websites.

Another option is to do a vinyl wrap on the wood grain parts or paint them to match the color of the truck. I painted my 08' and did the vinyl wrap on the 10' both turned out really well.
