I need to change the fluid in both front and rear differentials and in the past have just had it done for me. I would like to do it myself this time due to cost but have no experience. Can anyone guide me through the process? I will need to know how much lube to buy and if there is any special tools I will need. Also what is the best lube to buy?

Thanks:eek:

Great info, thanks. Will I need to drop my front skid plate to do the front diff?

Only if you don't want to leave an oil trail for the next 200 miles :D

Ya... it's only 4 bolts, and it's not heavy. Unless you have a Fumoto or Fram SureDrain, I'd drop it for an oil change too. I made a mess my first oil change.
