Anybody had any problems with the finish on their truck. I got the truck used and have had it about 1 year. I noticed just today that I have 1 small spot where it apears the clear coat is strating to peel off. Anybody had any experience with this?

I think on the later model years GM has not had many problems with systemic paint defects -- certainly nothing like the bad peeling from the 80s & early 90s models.

I need you to describe what your problem-area looks like in a little more detail. First of all, what color is your truck and what panel is the problem area located (hood, fender, gate, or what)? Is it "spider-cracking" beneath the clearcoat (area is still smooth to the touch), or can you actually feel the cracking/roughness in the paint surfce with your finger, or is it actually peeling or flaking? Is there a visible chip somewhere that started it? .......that kind of thing.......

better yet take a picture and post it.
