I know this is a diesel forum but im on here alot and figured someone would know something. Its a 327, with a edelbroc intake and carb and a hei dist. It runs great in park and idles great and revs great but it seems when every you put a load on the engine , like when i try and drive it down the road it wont accelerat much, the engine has like no rpms when trying to drive it.

Does it sputter and jerk around or just wont rev up? My 84 350 was doing kinda the same thing and its got a elderbrock carb and the jets were pluged up so I taped on it with a hammer and broke the dirt loose and know it runs great.

vacuum advance hooked up and working?
If your driving it and you get on it is it a dog all of the way up to 5,000 or so or does it seems to wakeup over a certain rpm?

Timing is good, wires good, i cleaned the carb and it worked for about 2 min so their must be dirt in the jets somewhere i will let you know if i figure out the problem thanks
