dodge trucks suck

Hello, new to diesel, love the truck. Have an 05, built in late 04 so I guess its a 4.5. I noticed that the injectors seem pretty noisy at around 3000-3500 rpms while accelerating between gears. Not sure if its normal or not.also noticed when you jump on the gas it takes a second for it to answer back. From what I hear i believe this is normal though.

Pilot injection shuts off at about 2600? RPM. Pilot injection is what keeps the diesel noise down.

sounds like the pilot injection between shifts and the slight turbo lag is normal.. try a search on both of those and see what you come up with.
when you say "any locals that could check it out"... where are you??? you might fill out more of your profile so people know in the future.

Your truck doesn't rev at 3500rpm except for when you're grade braking. Injection shuts of at 3200 in stock form. In that case, your engine is like an air pump. No fuel injected - no worries!
Pilot injection shuts off at 2500rpm actually. Anything higher than that knocks somewhat.
Turbo lag is all normal. Go on it a little bit easier off the start and then put it down more to avoid a big turbo lag whenever you start.

As Briano said, update your profile and add a signature so the rest of us know how to help you, without having to ask you for the additional information.
Thanks.

Yup...pilot injection...shuts off around 80 mph...which equals about ~2500 RPM. The injectors really hammer when it shuts off. Its really noticible. Isnt the pilot injection much more sophisticated on the 2006 LLY's? Like it never shuts off? Porbably because of the new 32 bit ECM...our silly old 16 bit ECM's just dont have the brain power to accuratly measure out and utilize the pilot injection when the RPM's get to high...the cycles just start happening too fast and it cant keep up.
