Gonna use this thread for the goodies I am having installed on the van, all comments welcome!!

So far:
MBRP 4" turbo back exhaust (straight pipe) van is no louder at idle or cruising speed from the drivers seat, but put your foot in it and OH HELL YA!!!!!!!!!!!:D
Installed a drain plug in the trans pan (should of been done long ago)

Future mods:
Stock tune sent to ID. Rob. Going with a 60 horse Econo tune with turbo brake!!
egr block off plate
pcv reroute
custom air intake (had to wait on this as the custom overflow tank was not done)
trans-go HD-2 shift kit
Bumper/Guard when I find a reasonable price on one
Edge insight CTS.

Thats all for now.

Any other suggestions will be welcome.

As for the exhaust, I should of done this long ago. No more lag and I easily hit 14 pounds of boost today on a hill, went from 60 to 85mph up hill like it was nothing. Smoked one of them V-6 diesel sprinter vans!!! Gotta watch my foot now cause just with the exhaust I may rip up my trans

very happy thus far :D 480,600k on the clock today

yeah, i did a 4" exhaust and bully dog tuner, and am way impressed with the added power, particularly with the colder weather/air we have now.

Cool! Exhaust mods are awesome. Any thoughts on mileage improvements or are ya still "playin" with it?;)

Have you thought about a deep transmission pan? Bit of an extra heat sink and results in more stable trans temps (and longer service intervals too!).

Stoked to hear how the turbo brake works out when you get it in....it's on my "list" too.

I've put 2500 miles on the exhaust so far but it has been way to cold to follow my mpg. All the fuel I have been buying in N.E. QC. is cut with kerosene so that hurts my mpg and the wind and below freezing temps do not help either.

My trans runs cool all the time, on the hottest day in stop in go traffic all i see is 180 degree's max. I run the Amsoil Low viscosity syn. fluid and that seems to keep the temps down.

Yes I to am stoked also about the brake, will up date when applied.

Honest mpg will not be till spring, unless I decide to run I-10 this year again.

Can't seem to figure out why there is so much clutch material in my transmission fluid......

Don't sound good, I change my fluid and filter out every 60K and the fluid looks new and there is only a little bit of stuff on the magnet. I just had my fluid done and the shop said they have never seen a trans over 100k have such a clean pan and fluid. They swore that I must of had in done no less than 5k ago. Said I was throwing money away throwing out fluid that looked so good. Said the same about my rear diff also.

Sounds like you are on your way to a build or R&R.

You only check your MPG when it is warm out and running straight #2 ?

I would say its from putting exhaust on it. I end up driving harder when I hear the exhaust. 225,000 miles is pretty good for such a hard life.

Considering what 60 and I do, at this time of year, it is fairly pointless to look at mileage and use it to gauge any upgrades success. Thursday I started with a full tank of Texas fuel and ended the trip Saturday running on crap winter fuel/kero mix in Northern Ontario. Mileage steadily dropped with each fuel stop as I went north and got crappier fuel and hit colder/thicker air. You end up guessing...and given the miles we run...that can cost a lot if you are wrong.

Once the summer hits it all stays pretty stable and you can accurately measure things....or you stay south of I-20 for the winter and haul cheap freight!

Couldn't of said it better, I also play the shower game stopping only to put 14.2 gallons in at a time to get a 1/2 shower credit. The only time I fill it to the top is when I go into Canada, but I go so far in that I have to buy fuel up there and when I refuel I only buy enough liters to get back to the U.S. so there is no way to hand calculate the fuel used.

In the winter I average everything at 20mpg to determine how much fuel I need to buy for the amount of miles I am rolling. That include's high idle warm-up and running the bunk heater the whole time I am not driving the truck and it seems to have worked out good so far. My van in the winter time is using fuel 23-24 hours a day even if I am not driving.

Packed snow & ice on winter roads also kills fuel economy compared to smooth clean pavement.

Personally I check mine every tank so I know what is going on even during the Winter. I factor in the idling, fuel, additives, temps etc. I know before my mods I was always below 20 MPG in the Winter. I am going to watch closely to see if my grille insert helps at all with MPG.

I have been doing about 6,000 miles a month since October and that gives me time to over think all of this.
