Goes unpunished. Yea, I had to make that stoopid "my truck runs great" comment a while back. :banghead:
Had an intermintent delay to start for a month or so. Had several "stalls while warm" incidents late last week. Friday, the SES flashed at me.
Code 35 - Injection Pulse Width Error - Time Short
Plan to order remote PMD today, should have done it awhile ago anyway. Anyone think it is the pump as well?
Anyway, no worries, I'll get it figured out/fixed; it is a 10 year old truck afterall, these things will happen.
Here's the list:
1.Lift pump test (showthread.php?t=39350)- Pass
2.Service Engine Light - off
3.Model year - 1995
3a. Odometer reading - 145,000 miles
3b. Miles on major engine components if been replaced - approx 90K miles on PMD/IP
4.Do you have any engine codes? Yes
5.If you do have engine codes - what are they - Code 35 only
6.Air Filter condition - freshly cleaned and oiled
7.Fuel filter condition - New
8.Condition of Battery terminal connections - Passenger Side + pretty corroded, cleaned and reinstalled
8A.Known condition and age of the batteries. - Good 1 y/o red tops
9.Upon cold start, does the radiator hose get hard quickly? no
10.Upon cold start, do you have excessive white smoke? - Little white smoke, new GPs on workbench
11.Do you have excessive cranking time before the engine starts? - No
12.Have you used the block heater, and does this effect engine starting? N/A
13.During hard acceleration, do you have excessive black smoke? No
14.Do you have any unusual exhaust smoke issues? No
15.Turbo check out (showthread.php?t=39368)- pass
16.Do you have an EGR on the engine? (An F or an S engine code) - Yes
17.Indicate if you know if it’s a 1500, 2500, 2500HD, 3500, 3500HD. - 1500
18.Indicate fuel that you are using: Bio-diesel, #2 Diesel, #1Diesel, SVO/WVO, other - #2
19.Are you using any fuel additives? If so, please list. - Power Services
20.Please indicate geographic region you are in: Ohio
21.Do you have any service history available that might pertain to the problem you are having? - No
