hey guys not sure if anyone can help since hp isnt used much with the dmax's but i have my egr turned off threw hp and i recently deleted the egr and now getting egr codes due to harness not being hooked up, do i have to get efi live so i know its turning off egr or is there something else i can do to trick ecm into thinking the egr is still hooked up?

Even with the EGR turned off, you will still get diagnostic codes. You need to disable the DTCs related to the EGR. Set all EGR DTC's to "no error reported" and your problem is solved.

How does a guy do this? Im new to tuners , considering getting one for this reason along with being able to check and clear codes and adjust tire size. So what would I need in order to disable my EGR so I dont have to worry about that check engine light coming on when I do? Also what brand do you suggest that will let me adjust tire size , disable EGR and check and clear DTC's?

Well if you asked me, Id say EFI Live has eclipsed HPT. But EFI Live is also a lot more expensive. HPT will do everything you mentioned and a lot more. But be warned that they have recently caved to outside pressures requesting that they remove certain features from their software such as DPF delete. To me, that says they are ready to fold up completely.
