Is this the general information that is out? I do not remember which magazines, but that is what they are saying.

Will both the GMC AND Chevrolet HD's be a new bodystyle? If so, waiting a few months for the new motor and the new body may be best.
Thanks

Interesting, I've never heard anything about this.

I read that the tahoes and yukons will be the first ones out, I believe the trucks will be the last ones of the new GMT-900's to be debuted.

Automotive News reported that GM will introduce the new body style HDs at the same time as the 1/2 tons.

My dealer told me the 07 new body sub will be out Jan or Feb of 06 with the DMax and I could order in Nov. 3/4 ton only. Remains to be seen.

Well I'm still waiting(impatiently) for GM to get the new D/A 360HP Suburban. I think it will be fun(to throw something that big sideways OH YEAH:ro) ).

If the Duramax shows up in the new Suburban, it will most likely be similar to the Duramax that is now available in the GM vans, 275 HP, 450ish on torque and with an HD 4L80E.

I'm not looking forward to that though. I was told by a friend that is the shop foreman at the local dealer that the D/A combo is going to be coming out in the suburban 3/4 ton. I wouldn't mind seeing the van setup in a 1500 suburban though:cool: .

Since GM is spending money to retool the current lineup, I surely do hope that they also reform the floorpan and firewall to fit an Allison transmission as well. At least without having to use different body mounts to get the necessary clearance which I believe is what they're doing with the HD pickups right now.
A Duramax Allison combo and AAM 11.5 rear axle in the Suburban/Yukon XL and Avalanche would be the chit!!!
:ro)

The HD's have a different frame under them to accomadate the allison. But the D/A with the AAM axle and a 6 speed would be a rel seller. Many people are dissapointed in GM for ditching such a great setup(the diesel SUB). There are so many diesel SUB's out there from past years, it's a disapointment to think GM would get rid of them. Hopefully they realize the error of there ways and regain there senses. There is a real void out there right now, espescially since the excursion is now officially done.

If you buy a new Duramax in the pickup, you will have just what you mentioned!:p:

If I could've got a Max / Ally in an Avalance (no body hardware) that's what I'd have right now. :cool2:

Yup!! Right now I would have a 2500 Avalanche with a Duramax/Allison if they made it...although ill take mine with PAINTED body cladding...black!!!!! Man that would be one sweet vehicle. I mean not that the trucks arent or anything.
