I will be buing a new 2012 truck.
Do the prices generally go up Jan. 1st?
Is there any advantage to buy before the year is up?
I would prefer to order my new ride late Jan or Feb.
Could there be more incentives in Feb?
I know this is all a guess but I have not purchased a new
vehicle in 11 year and haven't payed much attention lately.
Thanks

I just ordered a 2012 last week. Qualified for credit union supplier pricing and current rebate less a little extra. Delivery won't happen till end of January early February but should rebate increase it will be applied then as well so I'd say go make your best deal now. If you can find a 2011 that suits you there is currently an additional 1500 in incentive - 3500 off.

Wow that is cool that they will apply the higher rebate if it goes up.
I spoke with a salesman today and he said the price should stay the same. The delivery time is a little long, but it is what it is.
I will also order, not too many loaded reg cabs.

Also, did you have to pay now or when it arrives?
I thought it was when the deal was done but can't remember.
Thanks again.

I put up a small deposit when ordered. The rest is due when truck arrives.

Rebate structure may have changed but when I last ordered a new GM vehicle the current rebate at time of delivery was applied. The rebate offered when ordering meant nothing.

True, but unlikely to decrease in value anytime soon.

I ordered my 2012 Denali Duramax two weeks ago and was told I will get ever the rebates that are in place at the time of delivery not time of order. I'm hopeful they will at least stay where they are right now. The only thing that was set at the time of order was the price and GM's current prices.

Chevrolet website now indicates an additional $500 in bonus cash available in addition to the $2000 rebate for HD trucks delivered by January 3, 2012. Cross your fingers it will be renewed for next year.

I bought my 2011 almost exactly a year ago, and was in a similar situation that you were in....ended up getting it at the beginning of December. Just for shits and giggs, I checked the rebates every-so-often for a month or two after I bought it, and they stayed the same the whole time. And then in the spring time, the rebates dropped right down because the 2011 HD's were selling like crazy.
