: Edge Slip?

How accurate is the slip function on the Edge Attitude? I have a Suncoast III, so I don't think there is any way I'm blowing through it at roughly 350 RWHP.

I know the slip indicator is only accurate when the torque converter is locked, but mine seems to do wierd things. During a shift from locked 4 to locked 5 it will show a little slip but then dissappear once locked in 5. After that, it will show slip when I'm locked in 5 if I let up on the throttle at all. It will show 0 slip accelerating in 5 locked until I get up to 110 mph or so and then it starts showing up to 25% slip.

I'm confused...I should have a tranny built to hold way more than what I'm throwing at it. My fluid is cherry red and doesn't smell burned, I can't feel any slip, and I've never limped this tranny.

You do not have a problem. You have plenty of trans to hold you. I do not know what Edge reads and I don;t think the chinamen that build it know either. Give me a call, we haven't talked in a while.

Don't forget he's got at least 3 years practice on you. Our legal drinking age is 18 is most provinces. That means he probably started when he was 15. :p:

LOL...I'd better just quit while I'm behind.

If anybody needs a lifted truck, it's a short guy like me! 'Course then I'd never get in it. It'd also be a real ***** throwing my phone books up that high.
