We are getting a new 4x4 rollback at work. RAM 5500 or FORD 550? I want to hear the pros and cons of both.

I would go with the Ford. The chassis is probably the most widely used for what your doing. The 6.7 looks to be a good platform with very little trouble.

I would go with iH, they are better than the big 3

Currantly have an ih and it makes new problems faster than we can fix them. We did take a trip to the plant where they build the beds to tell them how we want it made and the guy there said they get good feed back from their customers with RAM trucks and he claimed the FORD guys claim those trucks get a little squirrely with a load on them.

Can't say personally but a guy I know runs a lot of Kodiaks like mine and since they don't make them anymore he's buying Dodge 5500's. He tried some fords and they gave him a lot of trouble. I think they were all 6.4's though.

koolk10 on here and his father own a garage and do a lot of towing. Doug prefers the Kodiak for power and fuel mileage but since it is no longer made he and his father opted for the Cummins Ram 5500. These guys are die hard GM fans and i was amazed to even see a Dodge sitting in their garage but the Old man seems to like it. Doug on the other hand, i do not think he will ever part with that Kodiak. The one thing they both stated that they liked about the Ram was the size of the cab and all the storage.
