I'm really really thinking about getting a 2011 2500 crew cab short bed 4wd silverado. I want a lt with leather. Lt so that I can have 6 seats. I've been reading and trying to figure out what all the options are. Some I don't understand. Like why can't I get a back up camera and camper mirrors. Also it showed an option for 10,000gvrw (iirc I'll have to look again) but what does this change. It didn't explain on the site. What options do you have and do you like them? Is the iPod connection and the blue tooth any good?

More questions to come ill start with these. When I bought my first silvy back in 04 I went in kinda blind. This time I wanna know what's what.

I dont have bench leather but have the 2LT package (I think) I have all of that just with the dark cloth.

As to the 10000 lb thingy........... that is probably on website build and is one of those things that is available for certain builds..like a gasser ....

ok, i guess when i clicked on the camper mirrors and it popped up the window, i clicked the wrong review. both saide inside review mirror, so i thought it was a typo. well it is a typo but not like i thought. truck comes out to 54,9xx after i put everything in there. i was going to pick one of the package things but it removes some of the color choices. i like the black granite because it looks similair to my old silverao.

They can do more for you there :) if you want bench leather (I have it and love it) you will most likely have to order......... also you can add heated seats to it......but it wasnt coming from factory.....had to be done at the dealer/accessory store

yeah, it seems dealers think everybody wants buckets. i have 4 kids but want leather so i'm glad they do make leather benches but suck ill have to order. what happen to the days of bench seat cars? nothing like an old road master with leather benches front and rear. :)

i just read the sticky about getting a good buy. I'm glad i did, i learned a lot. i haven't bought a new car/truck in 6 years. so i have stuff to learn over. it may be this time next year before i buy so that i can get some finance stuff straight and get back from deployment. if i order one can i still get the incentives? I'm not sure how that works.

i did happen to find 19 similar trucks in my area but none in black granite.

GVWR is your max, gross vehicle weight rating in lbs.meaning that it is the max. weight the vehicle can legally handle including the vehicle weight plus fuel,driver and any passengers,and cargo and/or any trailer tongue/pin weight.
