:( It was nice of him to loan it to me for the weekend when he went out of town.He had it out anyways for some power steering warranty work.It only took him about a minute to hook it up, very quick install. He just ran the attitude monitor wire through the door.

First impression wasn't great but as the tranny learned and straightened out I fell in love with it.I mostly kept it in 3 and low boost on 5 for in town testing. Punch it at a light and it didn't spin at first but as soon as it spooled up the tires break free easily.Am a little dissapointed with the dead stop punch it perfomance, but after that it hauls ass.

At the track I was only going to do a couple runs since I have a stock truck and no egt probe was hooked up.First run was pretty dismal I think.
I spooled it up a little and hit it, that gave me a lousy 2.5 second 60' with an e.t of 15.7 at 89.XXX mph.

Next run I decided to launch in 4 wheel drive.I spooled it, but not enough because it still was a 2.3 60' and my e.t was 15.6 at 87.xxx mph.

The truck feels much slower just punching then it does rolling into the throttle.anywas got rained out after that.Temps were the usual south florida hot and humid.
A guy there said he had the same struck with minimal mods, cutting 1.7 60' times. He said I should be around 14.7- 14.8 with just the edge???
I was running max settings on everything I think. No backdown or defueling,5-5.
I won't run it like that again without exhaust for fear of damaging something. My goal was to beat my friends time of 15.0 consistantly in his lifted truck on 35in tires. He has a afe, and magnaflow as well. Does the intake and exhaust account for that much? I know driver error has alot to do with it but his 60's are only 2.1. I am used to driving my car at the track and not an auto diesel.
The truck has 2600 miles on it.

Anyways, I was going to put off my heads and cam buildup on my car to purchace some goodies for my truck but I think I will go ahead and finish my car first.Everything is just sitting waiting to be installed.

This site has been very helpful so far, been searching on the forum for months.

Any thoughts or suggestions.

Thanks
Jay

You should be able to easily get into the 14's.

with my edge on kill 5x5 I can pull a consistent 15.1 with 4x4 and 15.2 in 2wheel

You should be in the 14's and have at least 2.0 60' times. I'd be very surprised if your friend was pulling 1.7, 60' times with the stuff he has.

Get some tie rod sleeves and go to about 2200RPM at the light....and let her rip:ro)

It was just some random dude that came up to me and told me he does 1.7's. I thought I had a chance at 14's tonight without the exhaust or intake. Not even close. The truck felt quite a bit faster on the way from the track then it did at it.Wierd, probaly alll in my head.I figure I will just hate giving his edge back on tuesday and I will still be looking for a good deal on one for myself.

Thanks
Jay

Exhaust and intake aren't worth the money at your stage, maybe never. Put the money into something more worth while like a trans upgrade, N2O, Pane, PPE/VA stack......
