Hi Guys,
I'm new to this forum, a lot of good reading.
I have an 06 3500 Chevy van with the Duramax. I haven't done any work on it except routine oil change/lube and I did one change on the fuel filters.
I have a quick rant about the fuel and the air filter being dealer items. I can't stand paying dealer prices and can't find replacements elsewhere.
But that's not why I came here, at 120K, I think it's about time to change the A-freeze but have been putting it off because I can't even find a drain. Where is it? There's so much crap in the way I can hardly find the bottom of the radiator. The owners manual has no useful info, except that it shows a bleeder for refilling, but only for the pickup. Does the van have this bleeder and how much of the engine has to be disassembled to get to it?
Can someone give me a rundown?
At age 64 I'm not at all new to working on vehicles, been doing it all my life, but this baby looks very hard to work on. I miss the old days when you could actually sit in the engine compartment to work on stuff, now you can't even get your hands in there.
Thanks in advance for any help.
