Went to the stealer today for my free fuel filter change(which I'm thinking they screwed up). While I was waiting I grabbed the salesman that sold me my current truck and got him to grab the keys to the '06 that was sitting there. It was basically the same truck as in my sig. As I drove, I asked a few questions about the power. The window sticker said 310hp & 6??ft/lbs torque. He told me they would have some later in the year rated with 345 hp. My question is, is this the revamped LLY I've heard about? Looked at the sticker on the inside of the door and it seemed to indicate a build date of 8/05. It was a nice truck, had the six speed ally which seemed smooth for no more than I drove it. I can't imagine owning anything other than another DMAX in the future but there seem to be alot of horror stories on here about the LLY.

More like the LBZ jr. everything is the same, but no the beefed up internals or 650 tq.

Did they move the tranny cooler also? Buddy of mine was looking at one locked up on the lot and the only thing he could see different externally was the tranny cooler was bigger and lower.

Running in 100+ heat in SoCal pulling 75 (empty) up the Grapevine, engine temp has never exceeded 210 and tranny never above 200.
Tranny "likes" to run about 150, but creeps close to 200 when sitting in heavy traffic.
