Before anyone suggests it, I did do a search and the only thread about a boost gauge install on an LLY was a mechanical gauge.
I just bought a C2 electric boost gauge. What type of sender is supposed to come with these? I was under the impression it was a map sensor. The sender that came with mine is identical to the fuel pressure guage I have... The instructions even describe hooking a FP gauge up....:help:

Black05Duramax,
The instructions are generic for all the C2 gauges etc, the sender you are describing sounds right, drill and tap and mount it and you should be OK!

Thanks Mark. I'm assuming the correct place to drill it would be the aluminum air intake housing coming from the intercooler correct?

Why not get a Super Diesel Manifold? No drilling or tapping required. www.superdieselperformance.com

Well, cause I didn't know anything about it, but now after looking at it, that is the route I will go... Hence the reason for this post. I have never put a boost gauge on a duramax before, so that why I am seeking out information from more informative people. :D Thanks for the info!

Umm... a sleeve with some holes tapped in it?
Does he have one that isn't $125?
Ouch. I mean... it looks like a quality piece of hardware, but really overkill for the application.
Rather than the sweet machined stainless piece, I'd rather see an Al tube with some bushings tig'd to it.

Ordered my gauges from Mark at dieselperformance. They gave me a "T" to hook up the boost gauge. Is this an acceptable way to do it?

dieseldan723,
Yep works great on an LB7, the C2's don't have a air line though, they have a electrical sender and thats why he has to do it differently than a mechanical boost gauge installation.

Thanks, didn't want to cut the line if there was a better way.
