I've done a search and can't quite seem to come up with a valid answer. Is it at all possible to remove the speed limiter with an edge without buying some other programmer/tuner? This is driving me nuts! Had a PS whoop me on the highway just because of the damn speed limiter, I had him by a truck length!
Whats up Sundance , Its Buddy you dont have to go any faster then 95!!!!

The edge cannot remove the speed limiter.

Nope...not possible. The Edge is a harness box and only modifies injector pulse-width signals between the ECM and the FICM/EDU. It has no effect on the speed limiter because the speed limiter code is written into the PCM. Only a programmer can change it.

Edge will stack with another tuner and work will but will require a tranny upgrade/repair. Most tuners need to be held about 90hp to keep from slipping/limping. . .

Use the Edge for power gains, and the programmer to delete the speed limiter.

If you are going to follow Scotty Seelen's advice you can use any tuner which will remove speed limiter. Quadzilla is the one I have heard the most about but you may be able to find others that are less expensive if you don't need them for anything else (power).
Unless you plan on upgrading your tranny or flywheel/clutch you should not spend $$ for a lot more power tuner capability. I would recommend you do some forum searches for "slipping" or "limping" so that you can understand the risk you are facing.

I fully understand that and know what the Ally can take without having a problem. I just wanted to know if I could remove the limiter. I think I may just buy a cheap programmer like superchips and then once i get the tranny taken care of, spool 'er up!

I think that is probably a good plan.
Good Luck.
