Called my salesman this morning and he has held my order because he knew how much I wanted the LBZ. He said the pricing isn't there yet as of 8pm last night, and he was opening his computer up this morning and will call be about it. So THANK GOD I have a GREAT salesman.

To play devil's advocate, what happens if the LBZ is a problem child and everyone hates them. They have some common problem arise that gets fixed or patched through a recall, yet don't respond well to after market mods and are prone to failures. Then everyone might be looking for the "bastardtweener" LLY's from the last production that seemed to have the most power of the lillys.. dunno, just thought I'd put a spin on this. I'd be pissed if this is the case, and I'm sure you'll all be here to laugh! :)

I was one of the first in the state to get a new 1996 Tahoe with the
all new 5.7L Vortec engine. Of the eight cylinders, 1 clogged, fixed,
2 clogged, fixed, 1 clogged, fixed, 2 clogged, fixed. Never the same ones twice.
4 service visits to the dealer in 2-3 years, never left me stranded, it
was a good truck. Only other engine problem was an alternator, but
my stereo amps probably killed that. Sold it after 7 years.

Point is that the MTBE in Calif gasoline was ultimately named the cause
and it was not part of GM's fuel testing for the new engines. Because it
only affected states with MTBE, GM was very slow to admit there was
a problem. They fixed it in the 1999 model year engines and gave 200k
warranties to the 1996 fuel injectors.

New engines may have new flaws, but they should be well known by
the end of your 3/36 coverage.
