Searching the web for Allison Bus Technology you find that it is diesel/hybrid technology.

The diesels have a diesel particulate filter to catch...well...the particulate emissions of course. This means to me that IF such a thing is coming for light duty diesel trucks that you will easily get popped for blowing smoke...removing the filter or cat for performance gains. It should be obvious.

I'm currently waiting to see the new suburban myself, it is supposed to be offered with the DURAMAX/ALLISON combo. As far as hybrids go, I'll never own one if I can help it. I look at hybrids as more of a copout than a solution. Because what happens when you have to start replacing all of those batteries:eek: , and what will that do for our enviroment to dispose of all of them or even the cost of recycling. I think the automakers should concentrate on cleaning up what we have rather than juicing it up(we have the power now give us the economy). But as far as smoke goes, my 6.5 does more than its fare share(and I like smoking people:evillol: ).

I'm still waiting and hoping that GM hurries up.
