I have a 02 duramax and sometimes when I tow a 32' 5th wheel I take off and when it shifts to 2nd it slams into gear really hard and I really fear its going to break something. It only does it sometimes and you never know when so you can let off or something. Thanks for and input into this problem.

Had the same thing happen occasionally when towing, had the TCM program updated and hasn't happened since.

Thanks I will call the dealer is anyone else able to reprogram as I hate to take the edge off thats a pain.
