This size SS TSL seems like a nice fit for the stock wheels. Question is how bad would the tire be on the highway.

I'm thinking of cranked torsion bars, these tires, (probably have to trim the airdam) and a set of Bilstein 7100 series resevoir shocks on shock hoops up front.

The hoops and resevoirs are for cool factor I'll admit (may as well make use of all that space Above the tire by looking good). But the 7100 series shocks are take apart shocks. I've got a pretty good understanding of what shock valvings to change for what characteristics because of my Solo 2 Car. So I think by having a "take apart shock" I'd be able to dial in the shock valving to improve ride and try to offset the cranked bars.

So questions are...Has anyone used these? How are they on the pavement? What kind of life expectancy? Will cranking the bars be enough?
How bad will the ride be with the bars cranked up? Does everyone agree that a 9" wide tire is a good fit for the stock wheel?

And finally how would this tire compare as far as wear, and pavement behavior to a 255/85/16 BFG mud terrain?

I think it would be fine for fitment. Shouldn't rub since it's a narrow tire on the stock narrow rim. Not sure on wear because everyone I know with tsls beats the hell out of them...

I would think they'd be a little tight w/o any lift. Stop me if I'm wrong.

The 34 x 9.50 TSl are designed for Jeeps or toyotas that are light!!!!

The actual tread width is only 8" on those tires and they are extremely SKINNY!!! Sidewall sits outside the tread at all times and they are LOUD!!!!

We ran a set on 16 x 6 Yota steel wheel on a 94 X-cab with a 3" BL and they would still hit at times!!! They are skinny but are a true 34" even on a 3/4-ton!!!

I would stay away as the smallest of the 3 tread blocks are only about 5" wide and they aren't going to last long on the Heavy D-max with suha soft compound density.
