This weekend we rebuilt the front suspension on my truck. After we got the axles reinstalled we noticed that the drives side turned (by hand) harder than the passenger side.

is this normal?

There is a disconnect in the passenger side, and you are only spinning the outer axle itself. On the drivers side there is no disconnect so you are turning some of the guts also, hence more drag. Hope this helps.
