Ok i've beat this around in another thread with different results and think we need a thread specific to this issue. What ACT & DES timing are most running with the 18:1 engine, what TDC offset is being used? What seems to be the best combination to run for these engines?
I'm having issues with mine and want to get it right once and for all.

Mine is right at the "stock setting". I have no real problems with it at this point. I am thinking though that due to low compression and detonation not really being there, the timing can be advanced to allow for better performance.

Just a thought, didn't you change the cam in that bad boy?
Maybe that cam, if you did change it, is not compatible with the wester's flash

DAS gold package less the heads, not sure but probably used my push rods, new balanced crank, splayed mains, cam shaft.
Here's a link to a list from the DAS site, just knock of the heads and push rods and add 18:1's, should be pretty close. I will have to look at the bill for exact parts.
