it tells me the vin is not formated correctly

they must be having issues with the site..I put in mine and it worked, but gives an error 2 pages up. Might try it in a little while or something..

i think i am going to have to take a ride to the dealer and update some stuff

at the moment mine only shows "normal" as a program type, but I remember there being at least 3 options before. when I try it I get a database error.. what are your other options? one will ring a bell...

Do you click on all of the controls to see which ones need updating? Then it just keeps popping up error.

ah damn.. I forgot.. make sure you pop up blocker is disabled for that site. I disabled them and it came right up with no error...

What does this mean?

if I remember correctly the Id numbers that are listed at the top and also below under History are what you currently have had done or presently have flashed.

The ones that have an update available are the ones in blue/hyperlink at the top and are NOT under History.

Okay, what exactly is that site telling me? Do the numbers that are listed tell me what is already in my ECM? Or, are the ones listed, the ones I need?

I can't tell by just looking at them. In the description, it tells what the fix is for, but does that mean I need it, or I already have it? That is the question.

Given my build date of june - I punched in my VIN expecting it to come up with nothing... I was surprised.

It did that to me too. I then noticed that there was a space " " at the end of the VIN. I deleted it and it worked fine!

I ran my VIN, and it looks like there are a number of updates that are available. I noticed one under the 'Engine Diagnostic' tab with a description of "New calibration with diagnostic enhancements for DTC P0401 and P0404". Anybody have any idea what this resolves? Does this loosen the parameters around settings these codes, presumably because of people with aftermarket exhausts, etc. setting EGR codes? Just curious, thanks.

Dude, like Briano said, you've got to stop your popup blocker from killing the extra window. Some you can buypass by holding the control key down while clicking the "next" button.

in the box that displays "normal", you must highlight it...then click next. make sure pop ups are disabled.

how do we tell which updates we need vs. the ones the truck already has. I printed all the codes for mine, and at the top it says calibration history, which to me indicates my truck already has these?:confused:

Click on "NORMAL" and then try it again.
