after limping to dealer on start of long weekend and listing to the rant you get they finally checked and found out just what I had told them and ordered parts picked truck up today the repair kits are available form Aug 2/05 for these two weak connectors also a support bracket is installed. Only time will tell but it is better than having some yahoo tearing out a wire harness.
I just want to keep truckin this limp sucks

there is a known problem with the wire connections on the number 2 and 7 injectors they apparently break inside the cap at the injector when this first happened they replaced the complete engine wire harness approx 1200 bucks for harness this time they have a kit that just replaces the caps and wireing for these two injectors plus some brackets to support. Hope this fix is good but at least it is cheaper than the harness and this problem is well documented with the general hope this helps

Just had to tow my buddy from 3 hours away for the same thing. Dealer here replaced the entire engine wiring harness and stated that about 7 other trucks had gone through their shop for the same thing. They also said that there is an upgraded harness to replace on problem vehicles. He also stated that the replacement caps are on national backorder, hence the full harness upgrade.

Don't like to waste bandwidth, but I have to verify.... This is just an LLY problem correct?

I just had mine done after three weeks of intermittant problems. Fortunately didn't get caught pulling a loaded trailer. Limp mode is no fun though.
They ended up doing the entire harness as the smaller kit wasn't available. So far so good.

This is LLY only...LB7 had lugs that screwed down on the Injectors.
