: the turbonators new shop....
turbonator 09-29-2011, 11:56 PM well as most of you guys know, our shop burned down on feb. 1st of this year, we lost almost all of our tools and all of our 6.2l\6.5l parts... the insurance was less than kind with us, giving only the municipal evaluation to re build with, a grand total of 8500.00... so here are some pics of our progress up til now...
turbonator 09-29-2011, 11:58 PM yet more pics....
turbonator 09-30-2011, 12:04 AM we sawed all of our own lumber with trees that we cut at customers houses, and we already had lots in stock.... the shop is the same size as before, although it is quite a bit taller to incorporate our rolling gantry crane inside...:) and this time we built a mezzanine in the back for storage.... jim built all the trusses, as buying them would have cost around $4000.00
now we are just waiting for a couple of nice days to finish the roof.... we are going to install used metal that we scrounged together, not the best, but we only have 160.00 into it instead of $2500.00...

Diaric 10-02-2011, 10:41 AM nice job guys. You two post something in the correct section for once and it takes me a couple days to find it lol
Bryce_Burden90 10-27-2011, 12:07 PM Looking good guys, best of luck to you in your rebuild, and sorry to hear about your loss. I lost a barn to a fire a couple years ago, thankfully I was too lazy to unhook my dually from the trailer that night, or it would have been parked inside and lost as well.
Bryce
turbonator 11-06-2011, 01:00 PM Well we been working like a couple of "working type guys".....:D
Got the metal roof all screwed down, the porch is about 3/4 done and today we stood up our 14' wide X 13' high gantry crane. We have had this crane for almost 5 years, but were never able to roll it, as it was always outside on the gravel. Got her inside now, cement floor and she rolls like "a gantry crane on wheels".....LOL:)
Diaric 11-06-2011, 03:45 PM posts some new pics. winters coming, better get it warm in there :thumb:

yup 10-4 on that one.... we will post up some pics tomorrow... it will be with the ass of the grumman sticking out... taking out the motor this week for the 3500.....before the crack pistons motor becomes the crack pistons motor with a hole in the side...LOL... all we want for x-mas this year is 40 bags of pink insulation...LOL...
acesneights1 11-06-2011, 07:32 PM WOW. First really sorry for your loss. Losing your tools like that is like losing family. I have done alot of fire job demos over the years and it's always very sad to see people's whole lives destroyed like that...Now on the good side that new shop looks FRIGGIN AWESOME !!
I am so jealous right now. What a great job.
koots 11-17-2011, 10:20 AM Nice job with the new shop. I got 4 bags of pink panther sitting in my shed if you wanna drive out here to get it LOL
