Is oil used to produce rubber for tires? I thought I remembered that, but I wasn't sure.

The Hurricane is going to make a lot more than just tires go up. The amount of products with raw materials coming from the New Orleans area or being produced there will add to the increase oil price impact.

I received notice today that many of my suppliers will be adding fuel surcharges onto each PO#. It's going to hit everyone in one way or another.

^ that is true. My wife is in the trucking industry and truckers/trucking companies are not hauling many loads that do not include a fuel surcharge or higher paying rates. Higher fuel prices trickles down to everything that gets moved by truck/train/plane/boat/etc....
