I was wondering where the silverado/sierra 3500 d'max, DRW are built, or should I say final assembly ?? I was told silverado's are built in mexico, I hope this is not true as I do my best (not always possible) not to support companies that operate out of mexico.

CC's in Flint, MI
Ex/Std cabs in Pontiac, MI and I think somewhere else, not Mexico

On edit: The average Silverado/Sierra is made up of 90% domestic materials.

F.Y.I. CREW CABS are built at Flint Assembly, Flint,MI. Extended cabs & Regular cabs are built at my plant- Pontiac east assembly-Pontiac,Mi. Building codes = #11 in the vin#: F= Flint, E= Pontiac East. They do build trucks in Oshawa,Ontario BUT they are NON-DIESELS. F.Y.I. A #1 as the first # in the vin# = U.S. Built. #2= Canadian Built & a #3 = Mexico built. The Avalanche & the new HHR are built in Silao, Mexico.

If you want Mexican built HD pickup trucks, you will want to buy a Ford or Dodge:)

You are safe buying a Chevy or GMC with the duramax engine, as they are all built right here in the good ole U S or A:ro)
