I usually have my vent selector set to half-floor/half-panel. I noticed recently that the air is also coming out of the side window defrosters. Is this Abbey Normal or not?

I would say that that vent keeps the side window from fogging up. I dont think Abby N. would worry about that vent.:confuzeld

The side vent is supposed to do that. So, yes I would tend to agree. However, the vent selector is not on defrost. It's on floor/panel. And when I have the A/C on, it frosts my window just in front of the mirror. Not good when towing...

So, is it supposed to be on when I have the selector on floor/panel?

hmm, you got me thinkin about this thing so i sent Abby out to check it out. the only time my side window vent is not on is during solid dash vent. all other combinations used the side vent.

so, based on my scientific experiment (i am watching Mythbusters at the moment) i concude that it is plausible for that vent to be on during floor/panel mode.
