...........if so, which one do you use? (pics are welcome :) )

I was looking at a few online and thought this one was cool, especially with the rear bar.

Yep I got the BackRack on mine. When you have 1000 pounds of ballasts in the rear for traction/snowplowing, it's a must have item for safety sake. It looks great on the truck.

Please note that this rack was modified to bowtie design. :D

Those ar ok for the price. I made one for a friend of mine for his 79 chev stepside. It turned out pretty good considering the stepside bed. A buddy of mine around here makes some really nice ones. They are pricey at about $1200 but they are nice, very heavy duty. Almost every truck around here has one. I plan on making one for my truck sometime I'm going to change it a little so as not to copy him completely. I will try and get a few pics of one on a dmax. Only problem is I don't know how to post em:(

I have one of those on each of my 2 pickups, I really like them. I have some off road lights and 2 CB antennas on my old truck . Theyre very solid and practical.

I had a Pro-Tech on my last truck, I really liked the look of it, I have a canopy on my chev and decided I didnt need the headache rack anymore. -Jeff

I really like the back rack as it's not too large or intrusive. anyone have some pics handy? most of the pix on the site were of the rack itself, not a full shot of the truck with the rack.

No, it is not bad at all. The slats are angled so that they are pretty "thin" when you are looking back through from inside the cab.

Ok I got a few pics. I didn't see the actual truck I was looking for but here is another one. It's not a dmax but it's a chev. Also a couple on a toyotas. My camera isn't that good so the pics aren't either. The pics really don't do the racks justice. On the chev I'm not sure why the hooks or so high. The guy I know usually uses the D shackles like on the toyota. Maybe he didn't make the one on the chev, but everything else is the same. The close up shows how the rear bar is held secure, there is a nut welded on for a T bolt to screw into on each side. Looks like they are missing though.Anyway you can take the bar out and there is a spot towards the cab that it slides into out of the way when your not using it. I've never posted pics before so here goes nothinhttp://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a344/Twistedsteel3/racks005.jpghttp://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a344/Twistedsteel3/racks002.jpghttp://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a344/Twistedsteel3/racks004.jpghttp://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a344/Twistedsteel3/racks003.jpghttp://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a344/Twistedsteel3/racks008.jpghttp://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a344/Twistedsteel3/racks006.jpghttp://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a344/Twistedsteel3/racks007.jpg

 Damn! what the Censored did I do wrong? You gotta scroll over to see em. And everything I typed is across the top. That's was my first attempt at posting pics:o: Anyway I forgot to add there is also a spot on each side toward the top of the rack in the louvers so you can mount cargo/backup/auxilary(sp?) lights. And a cutout as to not block your third brake light. Any advice about how I should have done the pic is appreaciated.
Thanks, Albie

You didn't do anything wrong, those are just big pictures. Of course, if you run a high resolution all the time like me, you don't have to scroll. ;)
