Hey guys, I have an 02' Dmax. before today I have never had any starting problems at all, althought the computer has been throwing out a glowplug code. This morning it started great as usual. I fueled up with fresh fuel that I had delivered to my home, drove about 22 miles off road up and down some steep hills in four high. I parked for about Two hours then made the return trip. Upon starting it took about Two seconds longer to start than normal. If I did not have the glow plug code coming on then I would say that I got some bad fuel, but then again the code has been there for over a month with no problems.
I checked my fuel in my storage container and the filter too. There was no water in the filter and it did not show any excessive dirt.
It does however smell weaker than what I remember in the past. I remember diesel having a stronger solvent smell to it. I wonder if the shipper where this area gets all of its fuel sent a bad batch.
Any way I can check a sample of fuel?
Thanks, Marc.

I have also notice that my truck takes longer to start. At first i figured it was because i had it on the quadstealth 135 hp tune. But after i took the tuner off and put it back to stock it still takes about 3 seconds to start. It use to take about a half to one second to start. btw, this past saturday i had just started my truck and start to back up and then the truck just cut off. I primed the fuel pump and it fired back up. I am puting truck in shop for minor warrity work and well it is there i am goin to get them to check my injector rates and make sure they are ballanced. so hopefully they can fgiure out why it takes so long to start.
