Since getting my 02 GMC HD I have always felt the grille doesn't go well with the truck (looks like the grate on a water drain). I guess maybe I like the black grille look of the 1500's and Yukons. So thinking of ideas of a better grille look.

Will the stock grille of a 1500 fit the 2500? Does the center come out or will I have to replace the entire grille?

Also, what do you guys think of the pics below (my P-chop skills are basic at best).

1) stock grille
2) stock grille painted black (or 1500 grille)
3) stock grille painted black (or 1500 grille) with billet GMC emblem

I dunno.....


if it were my truck, I wouldn't paint the grille black. There's not enough black on the truck to match it, unless you want to trim the entire thing out in black.

it needs the classic horizontal billet IMO.

Buy an aftermarket grill and sell me yours.............I need a new grill, mine has scratches on it..................
