This post could not have come at a better time. I just received my RDS tank from Zylstra Auto, they are in Tracy, California.
Althought the tank is top notch and Zylstras install kit and transfer setup in nice I must say that I am mucho angry that they charged my bank card an extra $90.00 clams.
I was told and reasured and told again and reasured again that the final charge to my card would be $1049.00 shipped with the install kit.
Well turns out when the wife was reconciling our bank account the charge turned out to be $1139.76.
I am in the midst of hashing this out with Zylstra now but it seems that I am not going to be able to make any headway.
So, if ya plan all calling them maybe it would be a good idea to send them a money order or check so they cant add a little extra to your bill.
As far as tanks, I have personally looked at several tanks. In my opinion the only other tank that might be better than the RDS in the Transfer Flow tank. The only down side to their tank is that for the short bed tank they only offer a 45 gallon tank. Aside from that it is a nice unit.
I looked at a Delta toolbox combo for a longbed, looked nice but the construction was that of their toolboxes, kind of lightweight.
Northern has the 60 gallon tanks for a short bed for $549.00 plus shipping and the install kits are extra. Their install kits are a bit different than Zylstra's. Northern's kits use a 6 way valve that uses a cab mounted switch to change from tank to tank. I have heard instances where the valve malfunctions and gravity feeds the fuel form the Aux. tank to the main tank. If both tanks were full then that could mean a whole lotta fuel on the ground.
If you have any questions drop me a line.
See ya, Marco

I have a supertank and I love the size of it. I have had several problems with little things like it leaking from the fuel sending unit. The stealer I took it to charged me $750 +, but Supertanks said they would pay for the install since I had to take it in to the stealer 6 times! Now one of the little vent fittings is weeping and I need to take it in (to another mechanic) to fix. Very minor and a little JB weld should fix it!

All in all I love my tank!

I put in a 70 gal replacement on a 02 long bed. Drop out the old, put in the new. Used the same in tank components. 1100 mile range - love it.

I would like a replacement since it won't screw with my bed storage ability. AZRAY did you install yourself? How long did it take?

What a difference the extra tank makes, when towing I stop once a day to fill up and at the truck stop of my choosing, I don't have to keep looking for gas stations every time im at half tank, and I am every happy with the transferflow tank, I have a total of 76 usgal.

good luck

I added the TFI 56 Gallon Midship tank. The best thing I have ever done to the truck. it is clean and all underneath. Have full access to my bed. I have a range of 700+
They mack one for your ccSB, just not as many gallons.

Good Luck on your choice
