Finished the air scoop. Faced it forward. It draws quite a bit of air at idle so I know it will be an improvement with nearly no restriction. It took longer to pull that blasted snorkel out than to install the scoop. Fits snugly but for added security it also has industrial strength velcro holding it to the fender. Stainless steel mesh from a strainer covers the end. Rain should not pose a problem as the scoop is located forward of the hole in the fender due to a plate that is partially blocking a direct inlet to the airbox.

I have pics but I need someone that can tell me how to shrink down the size so that I can post here. Kinda new at the picture thing as I just recently bought a digital camera. Love the new gadgets but just a little behind the times.

CR - found some software that allows me to post. Here are the pics.

to shrink the pic down, well you have two ways to do it. give us info on the camera, that some one might be of help . or use a pair of scissors. ED

DXG-301V movie camera that also takes stills. File size is at 1.7 megs for one picture, too many pixels maybe. Scissor's huh? Ok I'll byte just show me how. ;)

Wonton - it is the Banks super scoop that came with the exhaust system. Was supposed to be mounted in place of the snorkel, I think, but instead I just cut a hole in the fender and mounted there.

when u have it on a still frame can you right click it and there should possibly be a list of choices from turning it 180 degrees to email to change file size to reduce redeye and such. otherwise print a pic and maybe scan it into your computer after cutting it with scissors. if not maybe another person has a same or similar camera. good luck ED
