We all know how horrible these engines are on fuel - nuff said. I am on a quest to make my 07.5 a little more pump friendly. I just added a Banks Ram Air with Super Scoop - and am considering where I could/should go next in my quest for better mileage - not necessarily more power. I do not intend to do any tranny mods. I suspect an exhaust and/or tuner......

The truck is not a commuter - mainly used for towing my 35 foot RV.

Straight pipe the exhaust and use a tuner with a stock tune- no dpf. Cheapest is a DOC and dpf delete pipe and a quadzilla tuner. There are many other options out there depending on what you want to do with your truck.
