Does anyone know the truck weight difference between the 2500 hd cc 4x4 d/a long bed and the 3500 srw same set up?And if 3500 weighs more will there be any pin weight gains if only going to 265 tires?

It is my understanding that the only differences between the 2500HD and 3500 SRW is badges, overload springs, and the 3500 will have 16x7 steel wheels with 265/75/16 tires. So, I would suspect the weight difference would be very little.

Kind of off subject but... I'm curious to how much my 2500HD '04 CC 4X4 weighs. Haven't stepped her up on a scale yet. Anyone know? (Just the raw weight of the vehicle, not GVW or GVCW)

thanks

My 2004 2500HD Ext Cab SB 4x4 Duramax/Allison with Westin CPS Nerf bars, and full fuel weighs in at 3880 front and 2500 rear for a total of 6380 lbs. Which leaves 2820 lbs RATED for passengeres and cargo. For what it is worth.

37% of the weight of the driver and passenger end up on the rear axle weight, the rest on the front. I would guess that about 50-50 for the people in the rear seat, and anything in the bed will either add a little to the front axle or take away from the front axle. (Adding weight behind the rear axle will reduce the front axle weight!)

From the axle and spring ratings, there is 4504 lbs left until the max 10,884 axle, spring and tire rating, that is 6084 on the rear axle and 4800 on the front.

Good luck on this one now!

I believe but can not remember for sure but my 2500hd and 3500 duramax/allison weighs 1000 pounds more. Difference is crew cab and larger truck. I thougth someone once said 750 pounds was the difference if the trucks are the same specs.

I was at the dump last week and my D/A crew cab weighed 6,900 pounds with my 250 pounds inside. Makes for a net weight of 6,650 with an almost full tank of gas.
