bluebug 09-03-2005, 03:48 PM I have a '85 C20 6.2L. It has a 4 Speed Muncie Granny Tranny. I am wanting to replace the tranny with a so called 5 Speed out of a '90. (4-Speed O.D.) My truck has a 4.10 rearend, and winds out pretty good at 65MPH. I have located a tranny. What I need to know is, will this tranny work and will it last? I do not tow much with the truck, but a car trailer once in a while. I am even considering putting 3.73 gears in the rearend.
